All classes provide:
• Thai/English medical dictionary for everyday use
• Assessment before and after course completion
• Certificates of achievement for passing Medical English for Nurses Level I, II, and III
All classes provide an instructor with:
• A bachelor's degree, preferably higher
• Three or more years of teaching experience in Asia
• One or more of the following: TEFL, TESL, TESOL and or CELTA certificates
• Successfully completed EMP’s training course
• A professional attitude, attire and appearance
Some examples of how to use EMP
A hospital pays the fee for a group of nurses to attend Medical English for Nurses, Level I.
A group of head nurses and doctors pay the fee for themselves to take the Ward Presentation class that helps improve their abilities to present in English their responsibilities, and role in the hospital.
Nine friends at a hospital sign up for their own class, Medical English for Nurses Level III which meets twice a week for three weeks.
A group of doctors at one hospital and two doctors from another meet together for lunch and a relaxed atmosphere of English Conversation that has discussion topics primarily of songs and movies.
Wanting a class less than nine students, five nurses who are going to the UK next month for observation each pay 1,980 baht to keep the class number at five and take Overseas Observation for Nurses. (5 x 1980 = 9,900)
20 doctors from four different hospitals start a class and pay 495 baht each for English Conversation for doctors. (20 x 1980 = 9,900)
