Classes are two hours in length meeting twice a week for three weeks.
Class Description:
To refine and establish useful English for effective doctor/patient relations. This is accomplished by practicing the words and phrases most commonly used by western medical doctors with patients. These words and phrases are carefully chosen to show maximum effect for patient's understanding as well as avoiding words or statements that may appear too complicated or unprofessional. The use of euphemisms help make the doctor/patient process move faster as well as smoother.

Class Description:
This course is for the physician who once spoke fairly well but throughout the years allowed their English skills to lapse due to lack of practice. This class will give the physician optimal speaking time with the instructor as guide to correct minor grammatical errors so that fluid speech can return. Activities are task based which encourages English speaking.

To prepare the physician to present his or her ward to physicians visiting overseas. This also concerns the ability to describe one's duties and responsibilities within the hospital. Due to the variety of functions each ward contains, individual support outside of class is also conducted along with individual outlines and scripts for each respective ward to make the presentation clear and professional.

Design a Class (DC) is for a group of medical professionals with various functions within the hospital, (e.g. a class with five nurses, two neurologists and an accountant). Students select topics (click CLASS TOPICS to the left for choices) as well as the length of the class from a list of over 70 effective activities and topics to cover all types English as a Second Language. If a topic desired is not on the list, it will be created to meet that need. After the class chooses their topics, a curriculum is put together by the second class. Total classroom hours vary from 12 to 20 hours.
You can find a group of friends in your hospital and register for a course.
To do this, you and your friends sign up for selected class by emailing EMP of the number of students, the class you wish to take and when to begin.
You can contact your educational director to sign you up and have the hospital pay for the course.
The Education director contacts EMP and either pays for the class or helps with the formation of the class.
You can join a group from different hospitals to form a selected course by signing up on EMP's waiting list.
You can join a course that will shortly begin once nine students enroll.
Individual prices of courses depend on the number of students enrolled in a class and the number of hours it has. Classroom hours are usually 12 hours in length and cost is divided between the number of students that register.
